He is currently Distinguished Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of California, Irvine where he was department Chair from 2003 to 2009. During his tenure, the department underwent significant changes. These include the hiring of twelve new faculty members (three senior professors) and the remarkable rise in the US News and World Report® rankings of both the Computer Engineering program and the Electrical Engineering program.

Dr Cheng Siong Chin received the B.Eng. degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2000, the M.Sc. degree in Advanced Control and Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester (formerly called UMIST) in 2001. He has published over 100 publications, 4 authored books and 3 US Patents. His research interests include the design and simulation of complex systems for an uncertain environment. He is a Fellow of the Higher-Education Academy, Fellow of IMarEST and Senior Member of IEEE. He received the Best Paper Award for Virtual Reality of Autonomous Marine Vehicle in 10th International Conference on Modelling, Identification, and Control sponsored by IEEE in 2018 and the Best Application Paper on Dynamic Positioning for Vessel in 11th International Conference on Modelling, Identification, and Control, 2019. He also received DCASE2019 Judges' Award (most innovative and original) for Sound Event Detection in Domestic Environments in IEEE AASP Challenge on DCASE2019. He was awarded the Outstanding Contributions in Reviewing for Future Generation Computer Systems, Elsevier in 2018. Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics.

Joaquim de Moura is a highly accomplished computer scientist and researcher with a wealth of
experience and a strong track record of academic and professional achievements. He received
his M.Sc. in Computer Science in 2016, where he was awarded first place for the best Master's
Degree project by the Professional College of Computer Engineering in Galicia. He then went
on to earn his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in 2019, graduating cum
laude and receiving the International Doctor Mention and the Extraordinary PhD Award (1st
place in the area of Computer Science and Mathematics) at the University of A Coruña. In
2020, he was recognized by the Royal Galician Academy of Sciences for his contributions to
the fight against COVID-19. Throughout his career, de Moura has published over 120 peerreviewed
papers in a variety of highly regarded journals and conferences.
De Moura has participated in 22 regional, national, and international projects, and has also participated in 16 I+D+i competitive contracts with public or private entities involving technology transfer, as well as 16 software registrations. He is an active member of the research community, serving as a member of the review committee for several well-established journals and participating in the technical and organizational committees of many reputed conferences. He is also an expert evaluator of research projects from different international calls. She holds a Ph. D in Distributed Database and Msc. in Distributed System from University Putra Malaysia. She graduated her Bachelor of Computer Science from University Technology Malaysia, Malaysia. She is currently the head of Department of Communication Technology and Network. She served as an Associate Professor at Najran university, Kingdom of Arab Saudi (2012-2013). She was the Head of HPC section in University Putra Malaysia (2011-2012) and consulted the Campus Grid project and also the Wireless for hostel in Campus UPM project.
Her research interests include Big Data, Cloud, Fog and Edge Computing, Network management, and Distributed database. For her research work, she won gold medal at 2019 International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN 2019), two medals at The World Inventor Award Festival (WIAF) 2014 organized by Korea Invention News. She was awarded Gold medal at Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE2014) and Malaysian Innovation Expo (MiExpo2013). She also won Silver medal at National Design, Research and Innovation Expo (PRPI) 2010 and Bronze medal at National Design, Research and Innovation Expo (PRPI) 2007 and 2006 respectively.
